The 20th-ranked UNC men’s soccer team picked up another victory on Friday night in Pittsburgh, defeating the Pittsburgh Panthers 2-1 on the strength of goals from Jack Skahan and Santiago Herrera.

Skahan opened the scoring in the final seconds before halftime, while Herrera added the insurance goal in the 72nd minute. As a result, the Tar Heels improve their overall record to 6-2-2, with a 3-1-1 record in ACC play.

Pittsburgh (4-4-2, 1-2-1 ACC) got on the board for the first time on a goal by Nyk Sessock in the 87th minute, but by then it was too little, too late.

The Tar Heels also improved to 7-0-0 all-time over the Panthers with the win.
