In a tweet posted by UNC Health Care on Friday, Tar Heel head football coach Mack Brown offered words of support and encouragement for the health care workers across the state working tirelessly to help treat those affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Brown commends the workers for doing their part to try and turn the crisis into a positive, calling them heroes for what they’re doing.
To this point, the spread of the COVID-19 disease has delayed Brown’s UNC football team from starting spring practice–as well as canceling the Tar Heels’ annual spring game.
He is expected to address the media next week, with updates on how the situation is affecting the team.
