With the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational wrestling tournament set to begin on Friday, the pre-seeds for the event were released on Wednesday.

Four Tar Heels received the honor, led by Kennedy Monday–the No. 3 seed at 157 pounds.

Both Chip Ness (184 pounds) and Cory Daniel (heavyweight) received a No. 4 seed in their respective weight classes, while redshirt freshman Austin O’Connor was given the No. 7 seed at 149 pounds.

This will be UNC’s second straight year competing in the tournament, which is widely viewed as one of the toughest in the nation–featuring top-level programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Missouri and Nebraska.
