CHAPEL HILL – Four UNC women’s lacrosse players nabbed All-America honors in the Synapse Sports 2013 postseason awards Tuesday.
Attacker Aly Messinger was named to the All-Rookie Team—while Midfielder Kara Cannizzaro took first-team All-America honors. Attacker Abbey Friend, midfielder Emily Garrity and defender Sloane Serpe were named to the second team.
The Heels are back in action in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fetzer Field against Virginia.
