Add another highly-talented recruit for head coach Mack Brown and the UNC football program, as four-star defensive end Bryson Jennings announced his commitment to the Tar Heels on Thursday.
The 6-foot-6-inch, 235-pound Jennings chose UNC over other offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kentucky and Penn State.
It was especially promising that the Tar Heels were able to lure the Clover Hill High School (Midlothian, VA) out of the state of Virginia, with his father having played at Virginia Tech for current Hokies’ co-defensive line coach J.C. Price.
Jennings is ranked as a four-star prospect according to Rivals.com, while 24/7 Sports has him as a three-star prospect and the No. 21 edge rusher in the entire country.
UNC now has 10 players committed as part of its Class of 2022, with four of those players — including Jennings — hailing from Virginia.
Jennings joins four-star prospects Malaki Hemrick and Beau Atkinson as the three edge rushers currently part of the Tar Heels’ class.
