UNC had a total of five players named to the Academic All-ACC Women’s Tennis Team on Tuesday, more than any other school in the conference.

Fifth-year senior Sara Daavettila highlights the selections, making her third appearance on the Academic All-ACC team following a season in which she won the Honda Sport Award as the nation’s top player.

Another fifth-year senior in Alexa Graham earned the honor for the second time in her career.

Making their first appearances were junior Cameron Morra, sophomore Elizabeth Scotty and freshman Fiona Crawley. Scotty is also coming off a national championship in doubles competition alongside teammate Makenna Jones.

All five players selected also earned All-American honors for their work on the court this season.

Eligibility for the Academic All-ACC team requires student-athletes to have a 3.0 grade point average in both their most recent semester and as a cumulative average for their college careers. Athletic achievements are also taken into consideration.

UNC posted a 30-1 record as a team this season, including a 30-match winning streak to begin the year until suffering an upset loss to Pepperdine in the NCAA Tournament semifinals. The Tar Heels did win both the ACC Tournament and the ITA National Indoor Tournament.

The loss to Pepperdine snapped what had been a program-record 48-match winning streak dating back to the start of the shortened 2020 campaign.
