A total of 11 Tar Heels were named to the All-ACC football teams released on Tuesday, the most the program has had since 2015.

Junior linebacker Chazz Surratt was UNC’s only First Team selection after an outstanding year in which he not only led the team with 110 tackles, but also made the switch from quarterback prior to the season.

The All-ACC Second Team included junior receiver Dazz Newsome and senior left tackle Charlie Heck.

On the Third Team were: freshman quarterback Sam Howell, junior tailback Michael Carter, sophomore receiver Dyami Brown and senior defensive lineman Jason Strowbridge.

Players listed as honorable mentions included: Carter as an all-purpose player, sophomore tailback Javonte Williams, senior defensive lineman Aaron Crawford and senior safety Myles Dorn.

Clemson led all ACC teams with a total of 16 players named to the First, Second and Third teams. Pitt and Wake Forest were next with eight selections apiece, while UNC was fourth with seven. These numbers do not include honorable mention selections.
