Nine runs in the first three innings on Tuesday night at Boshamer Stadium helped the 15th-ranked UNC baseball team cruise to an 11-5 victory over the Liberty Flames–avenging a 2-0 loss the Tar Heels suffered to them back on March 19.
Aaron Sabato and Ashton McGee each drove in four runs apiece for UNC (34-12), while Danny Serretti chipped in two RBIs of his own.
McGee’s production came from a grand slam that was part of a seven-run third inning for the Tar Heels.
Connor Ollio earned the win on the mound after throwing a career high 5.2 innings.
