Both the UNC men’s and women’s lacrosse programs have officially unveiled their 2022 schedules, as each vies to return to the Final Four for a second straight season.

The men’s team will play 14 regular season games in 2022, 10 of which will come at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill. Three of Carolina’s last four games are on the road, including a trips to Virginia and No. 3 Duke. Carolina will host the Blue Devils on April 2. In total, UNC will face play eight games against teams currently ranked in the preseason poll, including five straight to end the season. They will play six teams which qualified for the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

In contrast to the men’s team’s home-heavy slate, the UNC women’s team will begin with three of four games on the road. Their season opens with a tough road trip to No. 12 James Madison on February 12. The Dukes are one of nine ranked teams the Tar Heels will face in the regular season. The toughest test comes when Carolina visits No. 1 Boston College on March 20. The Eagles are the defending national champions, and upset then-undefeated UNC in the national semifinals last season. Carolina is ranked No. 2 in preseason polls.
