Carolina will open with a pair of exhibition games against Wake Forest and Duke before opening the season with two home games against Michigan and Iowa as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The regular-season opener against the Wolverines will fall on Friday, August 25 at 8:30 p.m. The game against the Hawkeyes is set for the following Sunday at 1 p.m.
The first true road trip of the season sees UNC travel to Philadelphia to take on Penn on September 1. Other non-conference road trips include visits to Old Dominion on September 10, Saint Joseph’s on October 1 and Albany on October 15.
UNC will open the ACC slate at home against Louisville on September 15 and will also host Boston College and Duke as part of the home conference slate. The game against the Blue Devils on October 27 at 6 p.m. is the regular-season finale, when the Tar Heels will celebrate Senior Night. Carolina will play conference road games at Wake Forest, Syracuse and Virginia.
The schedule features two instances of the Tar Heels playing three straight games away from Karen Shelton Stadium, both of which have Carolina going 19 days between home games.
