UNC’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards–Ryan Switzer–finally caught his first career NFL touchdown pass on Monday night, helping the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers eke out a 30-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Switzer caught just three passes for nine yards in the game, but his 1-yard touchdown catch in the final seconds of the first half put the Steelers ahead 30-10 and ultimately served as the game-winning play with the Buccaneers making a frenzied rally after halftime.

A fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft, Switzer was traded twice this past offseason–first to the Oakland Raiders, then to Pittsburgh.

While being primarily used as a punt returner, Switzer has also gotten a few snaps as a slot receiver for the Steelers.

So far through three games in 2018, the West Virginia native has caught four passes for 23 yards.

Switzer’s first touchdown of any kind came last year as a rookie, however, when he returned a punt 83 yards to the house for the Cowboys against the Washington Redskins.
