Just a day after the Charlotte Hornets signed former UNC point guard Marcus Paige to a two-way contract, the team has agreed to terms with another recent Tar Heel in forward Isaiah Hicks.

Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer was the first to report the news, saying that it’s unclear whether Hicks is guaranteed any money and that the deal is likely just for training camp.

If that proves to be the case, Hicks still has an opportunity to earn a roster spot with the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G-League–where Paige will likely spend most of his season.

Hicks helped lead UNC to the NCAA Championship in 2017 in his first season as a starter, while posting career averages of 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a Tar Heel.
