All local high school football has been postponed this week as Tropical Storm Hermine is making its way through the southeastern United States.
The storm made landfall in Florida early Friday morning as a hurricane and could bring heavy rainfall to central North Carolina late Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Friday’s slate of games included East Chapel Hill High at Cedar Ridge, Riverside at Orange High and Chapel Hill High at Carrboro.
All three of those games have been rescheduled for six o’clock Monday evening to avoid any possible dangers from Hermine.
