The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Orange and Chatham Counties on Thursday as storms swept through the region. The warning is set to end at 10 p.m. Thursday night.

A tornado warning was issued earlier for both counties, as well as Alamance and Randolph Counties, which lasted for around 45 minutes until 1:15 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued to Orange and Chatham Counties, which will last until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.

A tornado watch for Orange and Chatham Counties, which was also issued for multiple counties in South Carolina and Georgia, will last until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6. The weather service said the area could see gusts of wind up to 70 miles per hour strong and isolated hail showers up to the size of small marbles are possible as the storm moves northeast along the eastern United States.
