With the release of the state employment figures for April 2014, there has been a recorded decrease in unemployment for 99 counties, and increase in only one.

Orange County currently touts the lowest unemployment with only 4%. Statewide, North Carolina unemployment stands at an improving 6%.

Between March and the end of April, the number of counties with employment over 5% has jumped from four to 11 counties.

This means that in comparison to this time last year, all 100 counties have seen noticeable decreases in unemployment.

The next unemployment is scheduled to be released Friday, June 20th for the month of May.
