Congressman David Price announced on Monday the opening of a consolidated district office location in Durham. The new office takes the place of the previous offices located in Raleigh and Chapel Hill, which are no longer operational.
“I am pleased to announce my new centrally-located district office in Durham, North Carolina,” said Representative David Price. “My staff and I are eager to welcome new constituents while continuing to serve communities in Orange, Durham, and parts of Wake.
These office changes come after the General Assembly redrew the Fourth Congressional District in North Carolina. The new Fourth Congressional District includes all of Durham, Orange, Granville, and Franklin counties, as well as portions of Wake, Chatham, and Vance counties. Former constituents in the remaining parts of Wake County will now be represented by Congresswoman Deborah Ross.
According to a press release, all constituent casework and correspondence sent by mail to one of the previous district offices has been forwarded to the new Durham office. While the office will remain closed to the public for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19, staff will continue to operate virtually.
“While our new district office will remain initially closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to be accessible to constituents and ready to help,” Price said. “It is an honor to serve the Fourth Congressional District, and I look forward to representing the people of North Carolina in Washington.”
