The body of a teenager who was reported missing on Sunday has been recovered from a Chatham County lake.

Witnesses alerted WCHL to a heavy police presence on Sugar Lake Road on Monday. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the body of 19-year-old Sean Thomas O’Donnell, of Apex, was recovered from that search.

O’Donnell was reported missing by a family member on Sunday evening, according to authorities.

The investigation into his death is ongoing.
