A million-dollar investment into a Chapel Hill Fire Department truck proved useful in responding to an injured worker.

The Chapel Hill Fire Department posted on Facebook that a $1.3 million investment into Truck 72 helped the department along Fordham Boulevard at the Hillstone project site. Using their ladder, the fire department was able to bring the injured person to the ground for further care.

The Facebook post stated that firefighters and Orange County Emergency Services both responded to the incident.

The 328-unit residential apartment complex and a parking deck were approved in October 2018 by former Chapel Hill town manager Roger Stancil and is expected to be completed by late this year.
