UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police issued an update shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday saying Jennifer Parsons had been safely located.

The Chapel Hill Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a missing woman. Jennifer Parsons, 62, of Chapel Hill was last seen around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning near Scarlett Drive and Garden Street.

Parsons is described as five feet, nine inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray top and gray sweatpants. She may be driving a teal Hyundai Elantra with North Carolina tag HJN-4040.
