Starting Monday, Oct. 21, Chapel Hill’s Homestead Aquatic Center will temporarily close for renovations to replace two of the facility’s major systems.
The renovations are set to take place until early March 2025, and patrons and lap swimmers will have access to the Community Center indoor pool at 120 S. Estes Drive in the meantime. A full list of pool hours can be found here.
”We know this facility is important to our community, and the closure will be an inconvenience to so many who routinely use it,” said Parks and Recreation Director Atuya Cornwell in a release. “This important maintenance project will help us continue to provide exceptional service at Homestead Aquatic Center.”
The project work will be done in phases, and the aquatic center plans to open for swimmers early if able, according to the release.
For more information about the renovation project, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 919-968-2784.
