The Homestead Aquatic Center in Chapel Hill will be closed for two weeks due to annual maintenance.
The Town of Chapel Hill shared a release on Thursday saying the center will be closed beginning Monday, February 10, through Sunday, February 23. It said the maintenance is routine procedures, but will include “some needed repairs.”
According to the release, many other pool facilities will be available to pass holders for the Homestead Aquatic Center during its closure. The Chapel Hill Community Center Pool, located at 120 South Estes Drive, will be operating on a modified schedule in order to accommodate as many activities as possible. In addition, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA, the Bowman Gray Pool, the Hollow Rock Racquet & Swim Club and the Orange County Sportsplex will all let Homestead Aquatics pass holders use their swimming pools with the presentation of their passes.
The aquatic center’s indoor pools typically provide year-round aquatics programs and aqua fitness classes for youth and adults, according to the Town of Chapel Hill website.
