Beto O’Rourke will reportedly be making a stop in Chapel Hill as he is campaigning for the Democratic nomination for president. UNC Young Democrats posted on social media Thursday that O’Rourke would be visiting UNC’s student union on Monday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.

Charlotte Observer reporter Jim Morrill tweeted Wednesday night that O’Rourke would be visiting Charlotte, Greensboro and Chapel Hill Monday.

O’Rourke’s campaign website lists him holding a rally at Clemson University on Sunday evening.

He drew national attention in his failed run for United States Senate against incumbent Texas Senator Ted Cruz in 2018. O’Rourke is part of a large field of candidates seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.
