A telephone poll asks Carrboro residents for feedback on towns services, taxes, street repair and more.

The survey, conducted by a consulting firm contracted by the Town of Carrboro, will run through November 18. Polling around 400 Carrboro residents, it will include 60 questions and is expected to lasts around 25 minutes, according to town officials.

The data will be compared to a similar survey compiled in 2016 to study trends and changes, Mayor Lydia Lavelle said on WCHL’s The Aaron Keck Show last week.

“We’ll get to see what were our trouble spots, or our lower spots, [compared to] last time,” Mayor Lavelle said. “And what’s the change this time.”

The survey’s questions cover different topics, including solid waste, taxes, safety, quality of life, customer service and communications.

The town plans on conducting biennial satisfaction surveys in future years.

The results are expected to be compiled in a report in January 2019. According to a town press release, any information collected by the survey will be reported anonymously.
