Former Vice President Joe Biden won the Democratic race in the North Carolina Primary Election with President Donald Trump taking the Republican seat.

Biden finished first in Orange County voting as well, grabbing 29 percent of the votes over Bernie Sanders (28 percent) and Elizabeth Warren (23 percent).

President Trump announced his projected win in North Carolina early, around 8 p.m., on Twitter. Trump was the clear favorite in Orange County, finishing with 86 percent of the votes.

In the race for U.S. Senate in North Carolina, Cal Cunningham was projected to win the Democratic nomination early Tuesday night, according to The Associated Press.

Cunningham will face Republican incumbent Thom Tillis in the general election. Tillis quickly earned the Republican nomination by a landslide earlier in the evening.

In the race for the North Carolina Democratic seat for the U.S. House of Representatives, incumbent David E. Price was projected to win Tuesday night. Price currently represents North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District, which includes Orange and parts of Wake and Durham Counties.

Robert Thomas is projected to win the Republican seat for the U.S. House of Representatives.
