One of the leading global manufacturers of application-oriented laboratory instruments announced plans to establish a sales and service headquarters in Pittsboro last week.

Fritsch International, a German-based milling and sizing company, will add an office in Chatham Park to its operations footprint that includes locations in Russia, China, and Singapore.

Instruments produced by the company are used for industrial process monitoring, particle analysis, sample preparation, quality assurance, and other scientific applications.

According to Melissa Fauth, the CEO of the company’s US branch, “quality, social responsibility, balance and environmental consciousness are the cornerstones for [Fritsch].”

These cornerstones are apparently what led the company to consider renting space in Chatham Park, a master-planned community with a mission to bring sustainable prosperity to the region.

Three Fritsch employees are currently posted in the community, which features commercial and residential developments under construction across 7,000 acres of land.

Tim Smith, one of the leading developers of Chatham Park, said that he “couldn’t be more excited” about Fritsch’s decision and looks forward to the continued growth of both entities.
