Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office have identified the homicide victim found on Wednesday morning off Coleman Loop Road.
The victim, James Otis Kithcart, 62, was found by a nearby resident around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday and had multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Additional area residents reported hearing gunshots at 3:25 a.m.
Sheriff deputies located a gun near Kithcart’s body during its investigation, along with empty shell casings.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Kithcart’s death.
