A Hillsborough man faces a litany of sexual exploitation charges after his arrest on Wednesday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced.

In a release shared Thursday morning, the office said their investigators arrested 25-year-old Daniel Oliver as part of a case alongside the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). The ICAC task force shared a tip with Orange County authorities in October about exploitative online activity involving a minor.

Oliver faces eight counts of second-degree and 13 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. According to the release, second-degree exploitation is defined as sharing material containing a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity, while third-degree exploitation involves possessing such material.

Oliver posted a $10,000 secure bond set after his arrest. He is slated to make his first court appearance on the charges in Orange County at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said no other information is being made public at this time — but its investigators are still taking tips about any potentially illegal online activity regarding Oliver.
