Hillsborough Police are asking for public assistance after a bank robbery on Monday.

Officials say the BB&T at 351 South Churton Street was robbed just after three o’clock Monday afternoon when a man walked into the bank, demanded money from a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police describe the suspect as a “slim black man with a full beard that came to a point.”

Authorities estimate the suspect to be between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, brown boots, eyeglasses and a blue bucket hat, according to police.
