Carrboro Police are asking for public assistance as officers investigate a shooting over the weekend.
Authorities were called to the Citgo gas station at 300 West Main Street across from Town Hall at approximately 4:30 Saturday afternoon to a report of a shooting.
Officials say they do not “believe that there is any ongoing threat to the public” related to the incident. Police are continuing to investigate.
WRAL reported over the weekend an individual had been taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment after the shooting.
