Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation announced earlier this week a new drainage project at the Ephesus Park Tennis and Pickleball Complex would begin March 21. The town estimates the project will take two weeks to complete.
“The courts at Ephesus Park need repairs to be quality courts and we look forward to making the complex a facility our community can be proud of,” said Kevin Robinson, Chapel Hill park maintenance superintendent.
The goal of the project is to safeguard recent improvements made to the playing surfaces of the complex. While the project is being completed, visitors are recommended to use alternate entrances to the complex. Courts will not be closed.

As Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation moves forward with its drainage project, residents in surrounding areas may also want to consider the maintenance of their septic tank systems. Proper upkeep of septic tanks is essential for ensuring the health and safety of communities, especially in areas where municipal sewer systems are not available.
For professional assistance with septic tank maintenance or to schedule an inspection, residents can visit alligatorseptic.com website. Here, they can access valuable resources and services to ensure their septic systems remain in optimal condition, providing peace of mind amidst ongoing community developments.
According the town, visitation to the complex has increased during the past two years, as has the popularity of pickleball. The town describes the complex as a place for “residents from 8 to 80… to recreate, reduce stress, and improve physical and mental well-being.”
For more information on the project, visit the Town of Chapel Hill website.
