Pazzo Trattoria and Pizzeria in Southern Village closed its doors on Friday.
The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook, saying it will remain closed for renovation and will re-open under new ownership. Pazzo had been open for 16 years.
Annie Johnston, who also owns the La Vita Dolce cafe in Southern Village, now owns the Pazzo business. She says an announcement with future plans for the space are forthcoming.
Pazzo is the latest Chapel Hill restaurant to close in the last month. Red Bowl Asian Bistro recently announced its last day will be December 15, while Weathervane restaurant closed in November.
