In celebration of Roy Williams’ retirement, Dunkin’ is giving away free “Ol’ Roy” donuts this weekend at locations throughout North Carolina.

The Ol’ Roy is Williams’ favorite Dunkin’ doughnut, the Boston Crème, that sports a Carolina blue icing. In a release, Dunkin’ said it the giveaway is “a token of appreciation to celebrate the retirement of Coach Roy Williams – The University of North Carolina’s head basketball coach for 33 seasons, winning three NCAA Championships and 903 career wins.”

Customers can get a free Ol’ Roy Donut with the purchase of a beverage at any participating North Carolina Dunkin’ on Saturday, April 3.

In March, Williams partnered with Dunkin’ to release the donuts to support local charities. At participating locations throughout North Carolina, 50 cents from each donut sale between March 14-27 went to the UNC Children’s Hospital and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to team with Dunkin’ to provide financial assistance to these worthy causes through the sale of this custom Boston Crème. It’s a fun way for fans of all teams to support the work at the Children’s Hospital and Food Bank,” said Williams in a release in March.

Williams announced his retirement from coaching on Thursday — after 18 seasons with the Tar Heels and three national championships.
