A combination Jimmy John’s and Baskin-Robbins restaurant is now open at 143 West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.

The business is owned and operated by Premium Loaves, a Jimmy John’s franchisee headquartered in Illinois. Both restaurant brands are owned by the same parent company, Inspire Brands LLC. Inspire Brands also owns Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, and Sonic Drive-In.

“We’re thrilled to open our new Jimmy John’s and Baskin-Robbins co-brand location near UNC’s campus in Chapel Hill,” said Premium Loaves CEO and owner Marc Largent. “We’re excited to bring fresh and delicious sandwiches and ice cream to the community for years to come!”

It is the only current location for either Jimmy John’s or Baskin-Robbins in town, and will be open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. The release from Premium Loaves said the business will provide employment to over 20 people in the area.

“This will be a fun and unique experience to satisfy your Jimmy John’s sandwich and Baskin-Robbins ice cream cravings under one roof,” said Premium Loaves Carolinas Director of Operations Amanda Muentnich. “This is our very first JJ/BR co-brand location and it’s a concept we plan to open more of locally in the near future.”

The combination restaurant is located in the same West Franklin Street building as Target. The suite was most recently occupied by pūrvelo cycle, an indoor cycling studio.

“This is now our 15th location in ‘The Triangle’ market in North Carolina and our 3rd new store opening locally just in the past year,” said Premium Loaves President and co-owner Jerome Hranka. “North Carolina loves Jimmy John’s and Baskin-Robbins and we look forward to continued growth.”
