The Hillsborough Arts Council is partnering with local cidery Botanist and Barrel to produce an exciting new collaboration.
The arts council announced earlier this week the two organizations were teaming up to create a new hard cider for the holiday season. Titled “Hillsborough Arts CIDER,” the drink will become available at the Cedar Grove cidery’s tasting room in early December.
Lyndon Smith, co-founder and Director of Operations for Botanist and Barrel, described the new Hillsborough Arts Cider as an ode to Provençal Rose wine. With floral notes and “just a hint of nuttiness,” those having the cider should be able to enjoy a delicate cherry aroma.
“The idea behind the project was to show our appreciation to local artists who have inspired us to push the boundaries of craft beverage,” said Smith to Chapelboro. “We felt it was important to give back to the arts community that has sparked our imaginations without even knowing it.”
