Ashley Ward, Director of the Heat Policy Innovation Hub at Duke’s Nicholas Institute, spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Thursday, March 28. She discussed a recent fine levied by the North Carolina Department of Labor against a sweet potato farm in Nash County after a farm worker died in a heat-related incident last September.
