Ashley Ward, Director of the Heat Policy Innovation Hub at Duke’s Nicholas Institute, spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Thursday, May 1. She discussed the impending summer weather, and the precautions folks should consider taking when heat season really ramps up. She talked about strategies for keeping cool beyond retreating to air conditioning, and talked about some resources people can use to help make informed decisions about when the heat becomes dangerous. She also discussed some of the recent work she has been doing, and more.
