During this local election season, 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro spoke with candidates for races representing Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Hillsborough. Each answered the same set of questions regarding their decision to run for elected office, their background in the community and what they wish for residents to think of when voting this fall. Currently, Graig R. Meyer (D) represents District 50 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. With Meyer’s term coming to a close and his seeking election to the state Senate, Charles Lopez (R) and Renée Price (D) are both running to claim the seat that covers much of Orange County and all of Caswell County.
