Meet Aurora.  She is an awesome pitbull mix and is available for adoption.

Aurora is about three-years-old.  She weighs about 40 pounds, so she is smaller than most pitbulls.  She came to Independent Animal Rescue in December.

This dog feeds off the energy around her.  She will be quiet when you are quiet and will be energized when your energy level goes up.

From the Independent Animal Rescue:

“She might not do well with kids under 5 as she gets excited when they are, and sometimes knocks them over and covers them with kisses. She loves playing ball and walks. Aurora is very food and praise motivated, so is a good learner.  She sits on command, and is learning paw. She is crate trained and working on leash manners. Because she pulls on a leash when distracted by deer or other animals, we use an “easy walk” harness which seems to have solved the walk tugs.”

Aurora is also great with other dogs.

From their website animalrescue.net:

Our mission is to rescue and provide safe and responsible care for homeless, abandoned, and abused animals. We shall strive to help all animals in need through our service programs. We will serve our communities through promotion of spay or neuter for all companion animals, and the education of children and adults in the humane care, respect and responsibility for animals on this earth.
