Talking TABLE

TABLE’s collaboration with Farmer Foodshare has helped serve more local children and while we’ve received food (both purchased and donated!) from them for over a decade, we have experienced a particularly exceptional strengthening of our partnership in the past few years. 

When I think about springtime at TABLE, the first thing that comes to mind is lettuce. It’s a crop that loves the cool weather but not the cold temperatures of this season which means our local farm partners share it in abundance.

TABLE has established a set of Good Food Values to guide us in making conscious and thoughtful choices about the food we purchase. These values reflect our commitment to people, health, and sustainability.

Together, we’re going to dive into what factors make living past 100 possible, how TABLE incorporates these factors similarly into our programs, and how you and I can start adapting these ways of living to promote better overall health.

On Monday, January 15, TABLE will be moving the last items out of its old space at 209 East Main Street and formally moving to 311 East Main Street in Carrboro.
