
The national championship-winning UNC women’s lacrosse team revealed its 2026 regular season schedule Thursday.
The Tar Heels will begin their championship defense with two consecutive road games in February, first at James Madison on Feb. 7 and then at Syracuse in an early ACC contest on Feb. 13. UNC’s home opener is a week later against Ohio State on Feb. 20 before Louisville (Feb. 22) and Florida State (Feb. 27) also visit Dorrance Field. The 2026 season is the first year Florida State will be competing in women’s lacrosse.
Other ACC home dates include Pittsburgh (March 7), Boston College (March 21) and Stanford (April 10), while the Tar Heels will play conference road games at Clemson (March 4), Cal (March 12), Virginia (April 3) and Duke (April 16). The game at Duke is the regular season finale.
In the non-conference, UNC will host rematches of both its Final Four games from 2025. Florida, who the Tar Heels defeated in the national semifinals, visits Dorrance Field on March 17, while national runner-up Northwestern comes calling on March 25. East Carolina will also visit Dorrance Field on March 28. Start times and TV designations for the games will be published in January, according to the program.
The 2026 ACC Tournament will be played in Charlotte from April 22-26, and the NCAA Tournament begins May 10.

The Tar Heels are coming off an undefeated 2025 season which saw the team capture its fourth national championship. Among the key returners are sophomore reigning Tewaaraton (National Player of the Year) winner Chloe Humphrey and National Defender of the Year Sam Forrest. The 2026 season will be head coach Jenny Levy’s 31st with the program. Levy is the only head coach in program history and was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2021.
