The UNC women’s basketball team announced its full slate of non-conference games for the 2025-26 regular season Tuesday morning.

UNC begins with a preseason exhibition game against 2025 national runners-up South Carolina in Atlanta on October 30. The game is open to the public, with ticketing information to be released at a later date. The season officially tips off when the Tar Heels host North Carolina Central at Carmichael Arena on November 3. UNC also hosts Elon three days later before heading to Las Vegas to face both UCLA and Fairfield in the inaugural WBCA Challenge.

The Tar Heels’ first true road game of the season sees them visit North Carolina A&T in Greensboro on November 20. It will be the second straight season in which UNC will have visited the Aggies. After a home game against UNC-Greensboro on November 23, the Tar Heels will head south to Mexico for the Cancun Challenge, a three-day event. UNC is scheduled to face Kansas State, South Dakota State and Columbia between November 27-29.

Another difficult matchup follows on December 4, when UNC visits Texas as part of the ACC-SEC Challenge. The Longhorns are coming off a run to the Final Four in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

UNC will return home to Carmichael for a three-game homestand after its visit to Austin. Home dates with Boston University (December 7), UNC-Wilmington (December 17) and Charleston Southern (December 21) will close out the non-conference portion of the Tar Heels’ schedule.
