CEO of the North Carolina Children’s Museum — formerly called Kidzu — Jamie Dement Holcomb joins 97.9 The Hill News Director Brighton McConnell on Wednesday, April 16. With the Chapel Hill museum forced to adapt after a water main break at its University Place location, the museum is reprioritizing its long-term plan of building an expanded, permanent facility off Mt. Carmel Church Road. Holcomb details those early plans and the philosophy behind the rebranding to become the North Carolina Chidren’s Museum. Plus, she details the other exciting additions to its offerings: a makerspace at the Boxyard RTP with many hands-on activities and a mobile museum set to take a science exhibit on the road.
