UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police said Wednesday afternoon Colby Williams had “returned home.”
The Chapel Hill Police Department is looking for a missing teenager and asking the public for assistance.
Police shared a release Tuesday evening saying 15-year-old Colby Lewis Williams was last seen on Wednesday, June 1 at approximately 4 p.m. He was last seen in the area of Perkins Drive in Chapel Hill.

Williams is described as 5-foot-9 and weighing around 140 pounds. He is a Black male with brown eyes, and short, braided black hair with faded sides. Chapel Hill Police say he was last seen in a white tank top, black shorts with a silver design and black Adidas slide style sandals. Williams previously went missing in May and April.
Chapel Hill Police encourage anyone who has seen Williams, or has any information about his whereabouts, to call 911. They can also call Chapel Hill Police at 919-968-2760. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can also use the Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crimestoppers hotline at 919-942-7515.
