UNC basketball fans waited nearly all weekend for the news of sophomore guard Caleb Love’s decision whether to go pro or return to Carolina. Shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday, Love dropped a video that announced his plans to come back.
The news means UNC’s roster, barring any additional transfers, is now set for the 2022-23 season. With the team returning many players from its late season push that saw Carolina fall just short of a national title, some national media members said Sunday they expect the Tar Heels to be playing deep into March once again.
Love’s UNC teammates and Carolina fans alike all celebrated the announcement Sunday night.
Some simply expressed their excitement through words…

…while others made memes, videos or jokes to best describe their excitement, including Love himself.
