UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police shared Friday that a suspect has been identified for the collision on April 13. 21-year-old Logan Anchev Boyd was given a criminal summons for misdemeanor hit and run and failure to reduce speed.

Police are still looking to identify the driver from the April 8 hit-and-run.

The Chapel Hill Police Department is turning to the public for help identifying two vehicles and their drivers following separate hit-and-run crashes in the last week.

A release from the department Thursday said two drivers struck bicyclists in town on Friday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 13. Images of the cars have now been shared to gather more information.

The more recent crash, from Wednesday night, happened around 8:45 p.m. Police say a driver struck a bicyclist on Franklin Street, with a bystander taking a photo showing the suspect’s blue vehicle at the intersection of Franklin and Mallette Streets. The bicyclist in the crash did not have any apparent injuries, according to authorities.

Just days earlier, on Rosemary Street, another bicyclist was struck by a driver. Chapel Hill Police said surveillance video at the Shortbread Lofts complex shows the driver of a Chevrolet Cruz hitting the biker around 4:45 p.m.

Police say the bicyclist had minor injuries from the crash and the vehicle likely sustained damage to its front bumper and hood.
