The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament is making a return to the Greensboro Coliseum in 2023, the league announced on Tuesday, after this year’s tournament was cut short prior to the quarterfinals due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
This will mark the 28th time the event has been held in Greensboro, the most by any city or venue in history.
“The partnership between the ACC and the city of Greensboro is extremely special, and one that has spanned nearly seven decades,” ACC commissioner John Swofford said. “The decision to bring the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament back to the Greensboro Coliseum was the right thing to do and we look forward to returning in 2023.”
Next season will see the tournament held in Washington D.C., while it will be hosted in Brooklyn during the 2021-22 campaign.
