UNC senior men’s tennis player Simon Soendergaard moved on to the second round of the ITA All-American Championships–being held at the University of Tulsa–on Monday with a victory in straight sets over Columbia’s Austen Huang (6-3, 6-3).
Soendergaard was the only Tar Heel to advance on Monday, as teammate Mac Kiger lost in straight sets (6-2, 6-2) to Kento Yamada of Kentucky.
Second round play will take place on Tuesday.
