Archie Daniel is a retired Captain with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.  He spent about 30 years in law enforcement.

Even after all those years of community service, Archie has continued his public service work with seniors, through a Program called S.A.L.T.  That stands for Seniors and Law Enforcement Together. THE S.A.L.T. program aims to reduce both criminal victimization and unwarranted fear of crime affecting older adults.

Daniel has helped grow the S.A.L.T program from about 60 senior citizens to over 200 people.

Another law enforcement veteran, Butch Clark, nominated Archie to be a Hometown Hero.  You can nominate your own Hometown Hero.
