While Mexico fans are known for their boisterous support of El Trí, the Turkish community is also very passionate about their team – and has a strong contingency in the Triangle largely because of the Sancar Turkish Cultural & Community Center.

Construction is underway for the Sancar Scholar Residence, which will provide accommodations for visiting Turkish scholars and students.

Fevzi and Debra from the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center spoke with 97.9 The Hill's Andrew Stuckey on Wednesday, November 6. They discussed the origin and mission of the center.
