The storefronts of Sup Dogs and the space formerly owned by Tama Tea on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill were shattered early Monday morning.
Town officials told The Daily Tar Heel that it did not appear as if anyone entered the establishments after breaking the glass on the front doors.
Sup Dogs tweeted a video showing security camera footage of a man throwing a chair into the store’s front door shortly before 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. After throwing the chair at the door, he walks away without entering the building.
Closed for lunch because of this guy. Shattered our front door🤬

Sup Dogs said they will be closed for lunch because of the incident, but will open back up at 5:00 p.m.
The restaurant later tweeted that they have had issues with the man in the video, claiming he was “extremely aggressive and intoxicated” on their property.
We have trespassed this guy for issues related to extremely aggressive and intoxicated panhandling on our property. He comes back and does this.
When will Franklin Street address the aggressive, dangerous, intoxicated panhandling that is allowed?😐
